Common questions
- What is the difference between SGPA and CGPA?
- SGPA is one semester on its own. CGPA is every semester so far, each weighted by the credits it carried — which is why a light semester moves it less than a heavy one.
- How do I convert CGPA to percentage?
- Multiply by ten after subtracting 0.75: (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. A CGPA of 8.4 is 76.5%. Confirm it against your own university's notification before writing it on an application.
- Where do I find the credits for a subject?
- On the syllabus for your branch and semester. A theory paper is usually 3 or 4 credits and a lab 1 or 2. Your marksheet lists them too.
- Is anything I type here saved?
- No. The whole calculation runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored — close the tab and it is gone.
